November Giveaway!

With the weather turning colder I'm suddenly getting excited about the approaching holidays. Maybe because today we took our Christmas card picture. It jump-started my dreamy thoughts of cozy times snuggling indoors, hot cocoa, Christmas music, making gingerbread houses, baking, and spending quality time with the ones I love.

All of this led me to start thinking about special gifts I want to give. It's always difficult to find that special something with a personal touch. Today I decided to buy an adorable piece of art for my only girl niece at the Willow Of Wonder Etsy shop. It happens to be owned by our very talented and dear friend Jackie. She has beautiful prints and stationary sets that you can buy online, and they arrive adorably wrapped and ready for gift giving. I am madly in love with all of her prints and if I had more room I'd have every one of them framed in my home. Each print is drawn by Jackie, and has scripture added to them all. On her site she writes about how she's been inspired to create each of them. I just adore these and know you will too!

She has generously offered to do a giveaway for Nurtured Path followers!!!! You now have a chance to win your choice of scripture art. Please see giveaway rules below. Can't wait to see who wins! We are rootin' for you!! Please feel free to forward this onto anyone you know who would like to join the giveaway. Come one, come all!!!

Check out her blog and take a look around at Willow of Wonder. Jackie is having a sale on all prints: 2 for $35 or 4 for $65. Also, 10% of all sales go to www.zoechildren.org to help stop human trafficking.

My favorite print is the one with the lovely blonde girl sitting in the flower. It reminds me of my youngest daughter who is an Army wife stationed with her family in South Korea. She had an awful time when they first arrived in a small, remote city. She was very ill with her 3rd pregnancy, lived across the road from a smelly rice paddy and had a kitchen with backed up sewage in the drain-both making her even more ill. She had to be hospitalized a few times and left alone there so her husband could watch their two daughters. No one in the hospital spoke English and she did not speak Korean. It was an anxiety filled time for her. She was homesick and afraid. As a mom, thousands of miles away, all I could do was pray for her-all she could do was pray. By and by, she became better and better, they were moved to a bigger city with more army wives to support her and more members of our church to bless her. She now has 3 daughters and is doing great in Korea. I am so proud of her! She has adjusted and is actually enjoying her time there and has even started her own business selling her cupcakes to other Army families. I would give this picture to her as a reminder of what she has been through, how she has triumphed with the help she received from the Lord and in the future, she is capable of weathering anything with His help.

Love Jackie's work! The Ezekiel Treasure print was actually custom designed for us, using my DS's name verse and based on a photo of him and using a quilt my mother made him as inspiration for the it. We LOVE that print so much because it's so personal and special. However, all of Jackie's work is great! If we won another print I think I would choose the Dolphin Girl with blonde hair to hang in my daughters' room as a reminder to them of the freedom and joy that come with giving thanks and praises to our Lord. They would love to have some "special" art just like their brother does!
